A clock and a puppet oh my!

Welcome to Neverland !!!!! This was an amazing photo opportunity I could not pass up of the outside of the Peter Pan Attraction.

Creepy photo of the entrance to Snow White. I think the fact that I am just using an ordinary canon power shot adds to the photos that I take. They are not perfectly crisp and clear. The blurrlyness and imperfections add mystery to the photos.

Close up of some of the lanterns at Tea Cups. I love the colors, shapes and designs on these lanterns.

Another one of my favorite entrance signs to an attraction. Dance puppet dance.

I just have to add a Matterhorn shot. Matterhorn is such on icon. It looks really cool at night. I will have to start adding some night shots to upcoming updates.

Such a lovely back drop. Looks just like small village roof tops in the swiss alps.

D23 Treasures of Walt Disney exhibit

I just got back from the D23 Treasures of Walt Disney exhibit at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley and it was awesome. I highly recommended seeing this exhibit which lasts until April of 2013.
Unfortunately, my cell phone camera is all that I had with me to take photos.
Above and below are photos of Walt's office.

It's all truly amazing and there are lots of details to see. I have included in this weeks blog  just a taste of whats on display.

The Ironman suit was off the hook along with the Stark Car.

The curator said that the car does actually run and is the most expensive item on display.

The Hitch Hiking Ghosts and the old Bride from the Attic were my favorite items to see.

Lots of Pirate movie stuff on display.

The Tron Cycles were just one of the many Tron items on display.

It takes about 2 hours to go through the whole exhibit and is well worth the price of admission which includes access to the whole library. A full size Boeing 707 Airforce One, the presidential Limo , a piece of the Berlin wall and many other displays of Ronald Reagan's time in office as president are well worth visiting as well. It was a great field trip.

More DCA

Elias and Company looking so elegant. Classic, clean lines. Reminds me of the department stores of old.

Five and Dime decked out for the 4th of July.

I know. I just can't help taking yet another picture of Carthay. It's like the Matterhorn. It just photographs great from every angle, even with a June gloom sky.

More pretty tile windows.

This Giant Bird of Paradise just looks so pretty over at Disney Playhouse.

 SNAPDRAGONS!!!!!!

How many cones are at the Cozy Cone??? You just know some Disney Fantanic will count them all eventually. I am going to take a guess and say 999 happy cones with room for one more. Haaaaaaa

Another nice Disney detail over at Sarge's there's an Olive tree with a crew cut.
I really like the canon ball neon sign.

A new mural over at It's Tough to be a Bug. I don't know I don't really like it.
I am expecting Flix to peek out from behind a blade of grass. I don't know maybe to will grow on me.

I had to toss in a picture of Tuck & Roll one of my favorite attraction signs in DCA.

Happy Fourth of July!!!!!!!!

The New Monorail Pool

Early morning photo of the new pool area. Very inviting.Wish I had the monorail pool in my backyard. At first I didn't really care for the whole Monorail theme however, it grew on me and I now think its great. It does make for a nice photograph.

A view of the E Ticket pool. This use to be the Neverland Pool which I really miss.
The white flowering vine is Mandevilla and is very fragant. I also like the tall Date palms (Phoenix dacifera) which have to be hand pollinated in order to get dates. I think Disney should consider serving Date shakes at Tangaroa Terrance.

A close up picture of the pool tiles. I thought it was so clever of Disney use D ticket tiles on the D pool and E ticket tiles on the E Ticket Pool. its all in the details.

I took this photo before the demo. I guess the Neverland pool did look kinda of dated. I do miss it though.

I of course had to take some pictures of Horseshose Falls before it was torn down as well. R.I.P.

It was really cool to stand in this spot and listen to the rushing water.

The Vista

Ding, Ding, Goes the Trolly and Ring, Ring,Ring, goes the bell!!!!
Bueua Vista has added so much class to DCA its incredible.
I just love this art deco fountain.

Is this the old Candy sign from the old Sun Plaza?????????

Yes it is. Its nice that Disney salvaged it as a little memento from the past.

This is a very cute window. Little Trolleys running on tracks with bells dinging as they climb Candy Mountain.

This car is super fab and a great photo spot. I really like all the tile windows too.

That's the Ticket & Hidden Simba

The Yellow Flame Tree (Peltophorum pterocarpum)was blooming just a few weeks ago at Hemlich's Chew Chew train. So, pretty. There are two more of these trees over at the AMC in Downtown Disney. This one is a fine specimen and an excellent example of what the tree looks like full grown.

Cars Land is open and Racers is of course an E ticket ride.

Here's something to know there is a hidden Simba in the rock work?
Do you see Simba?

The head of Simba as seen from Racer's queue line standing at the bottle house.

A view of Tower of Terror

A view of the waterfall. Looks awesome at night.

Catus everywhere. Disney went to great lengths to create this marvelous desert.
